Fabulous vintage 2 strand large cowrie shell necklace. The cowrie shells are joined together between equal lengths of small tube shaped shells. The two strands join on each end with a long piece of black jet. The double strands then join together with a length of tiny flat shell disks. The workmanship is very good and this is not a cheap touristy necklace but a very fine vintage necklace. There is a silver tone metal hook and loop fastener. The necklace measures 22.5" long with a 3" drop for the second strand. It is in very good condition for a vintage necklace and comes in an organza jewelry bag.
